Terms of Service

By using CVready you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — they describe what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.
1. The service
CVready is a web application that helps you create, edit and export professional CVs. There is a free tier (1 export a day without an account, 2 exports a month once you register) and paid credit packs for further exports. A Pretty PDF, an ATS PDF and a Word (.docx) each cost 1 credit per export; the JSON backup is free. A pack with AI additionally unlocks AI profile rewriting.
2. Your account
You can use CVready as a guest for one free check / export; beyond that you must sign in with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure — anyone who receives the magic link can access your CVs.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to abuse the service: no automated scraping, no uploading malware, no content that is illegal, defamatory or infringes others' rights. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
4. Payment and credits
Credit packs are one-time purchases processed by Stripe. Prices include VAT. Credits never expire. Unused credits are non-refundable after 14 days, except where required by EU consumer law. You can request a refund within 14 days by emailing support@cvready.app.
5. Intellectual property
You retain full ownership of the CV content you create. CVready retains ownership of the software, templates and brand. We grant you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use CV exports generated through the service for personal job applications.
6. AI features
AI rewrites are provided by third-party models (OpenAI / Anthropic). We do not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated content — always review before sending your CV. When using BYOK you remain subject to the terms of your chosen provider.
7. Warranty disclaimer
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee job offers, interview invitations or that your CV will pass every ATS in existence. We try our best, but outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CVready's total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. Any dispute will be resolved by the courts of Bratislava, without prejudice to your statutory consumer rights in your country of residence.
