CVready uses the bare minimum of cookies and similar technologies required to operate the service. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data.

Essential cookies

These keep you signed in, remember your language preference and secure the sign-in flow (CSRF tokens). Without them the service cannot function. Essential cookies do not require consent under the GDPR / ePrivacy Directive.

Preference cookies

Remember UI choices such as the last-used template, dark mode and whether you've dismissed the paywall banner. Another, functional cookie (cvready_tz) remembers your time zone (for example Europe/London) so that dates and times are shown in your local time. It is only set when your device is not on Central European time, and it is a session cookie: it is deleted when you close your browser. These can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.

Analytics

We currently do not run any third-party analytics. If that changes, this page will be updated and analytics cookies will only be set after you consent via a banner.

Local storage

We use localStorage to keep unsent CV drafts (so you do not lose work when you close the browser) and sessionStorage for the BYOK API key for the duration of the current tab. We never store the key in a database or a log; during an AI rewrite it is sent through our server for a single call to the provider and dropped immediately. sessionStorage also holds the last page you opened in that tab (the feedback form sends it only if you leave technical details switched on) and whether the page has already refreshed once for your time zone.

Managing cookies

All modern browsers let you view, block or delete cookies per site. Deleting essential cookies will sign you out and clear your language preference.
